Serena Williams Joins Business Consulting Firm Consello Group as Senior Advisor

Serena Williams, a legend in the sport of tennis, has just joined the Consello Group’s advisory board. The former tennis champion joins the company as a Senior Advisor, becoming the third former professional athlete to do so following former NFL quarterback Tom Brady and former NBA player Pau Gasol.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion is also a well-known investor who has backed more than 60 companies, including Tonal, an at-home AI fitness company, and Zigazoo, a social networking site for children. Her investments typically focus on minorities or women.

Declan Kelly, Chairman and CEO of Consello, commented on Serena Williams’ new position within the organization, saying that her “unique life and leadership experience will be invaluable to all the companies and individuals with whom we work, and we welcome her to the growing list of highly accomplished senior executives who have joined us on Consello’s exciting journey.”

In 2022, the Consello Group was established as a platform for strategic investing and financial services advisory. The company provides investment banking, growth and business development, investing, and advisory services for digital assets.

Williams is regarded as one of the best tennis players of all time, and her career earned her over $94 million in prize money at the time she announced she was quitting the sport in August 2022.

She started playing tennis in 1995 and has since won 23 Grand Slam titles, 19 of the 31 matches she played with her sister Venus, been named one of the world’s most marketable athletes, received six Oscar nominations for the movie “King Richard,” among many other notable achievements.

Addressing her new position, Williams said “This aligns perfectly with what I have always tried to do, not only throughout my career on the tennis court, but also off the court in my various businesses and philanthropic endeavors. I look forward to a long and mutually successful partnership with Consello and am very energized by the opportunities that lie ahead.”

The multi-business owner just had a book published, and she also revealed the name of her production firm, Nine Two Six Productions, which makes TV shows, movies, and documentaries. It concentrates on telling empowering and inspirational tales.
