Taylor Swift, the pop diva, has surpassed Rihanna and is reputedly the world’s second richest musician, after Jay-Z.
The stats are in, and it’s official: Taylor Swift is the world’s richest female musician, with an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion.
She has surpassed Rihanna to become the second richest musician of all time, trailing only Jay-Z, who has a net worth of $2.5 billion (approx. €2.2 billion).
Rihanna ($1.4 billion net worth) is still the “richest female musician of all time,” having once attained a peak net worth of $1.77 billion (approx. €1.6 billion). However, Swift may soon grab the title as well.
According to Forbes, Swift’s wealth is estimated to be $600 million from tour revenues and royalties, another $600 million from her music catalog, and $125 million from real estate investments.
Swift’s 2022 album ‘Midnights’ and 2023’s re-recorded version of ‘1989’, ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ contributed to her reported $100 million in Spotify streaming royalties last year.
Swift’s net worth is primarily derived from record sales and live performances, making her unique among musicians.
She achieved billionaire status in October 2023.
Taylor Swift completed the European leg of her Eras Tour in August and will conclude the tour at the end of the year. Her Eras Tour concludes in Canada in early December, beginning with a stop in the US on October 18.
The pop diva recently endorsed Kamala Harris for president, which upset Donald Trump, who claimed the singer would “pay a price” as a result. Trump had previously released phony AI graphics suggesting Swift and her supporters were endorsing him. Swift’s (genuine) backing led him to share a (not at all insane) message on social media saying “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT”.
