Lil Nas X Apologizes to Trans Community for Mocking ‘Transitioning’

Lil Nas X, an American singer, has apologized to the trans community after joking about transitioning into a woman with a since-deleted photograph on March 14.

LNX initially tweeted a photo of social media personality Glow Princess with the caption “the surgery was a success,” leading many fans to believe he’d undergone a gender-changing procedure.

After he began getting angry responses to the tweet, he owned up to his blunder. He wrote in another tweet “Apologies to the trans community i def handled that situation with anger instead of considering why it was not cool … much love to you guys. sorry.”

The 23-year-old “Industry Baby” rapper, who came out as homosexual in 2019, is no stranger to controversy.

After releasing a bawdy music video for his song “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” in 2021, the rapper faced condemnation from religious groups.

Numerous conservative groups accused him of pushing “homosexual agendas and demonic imagery” in the film, in which he descended into hell down a stripper pole, became a sex slave, and danced on Satan’s lap.
