5-Year-Old Xavier from Louisiana is the ‘Fastest Kid Alive’

Xavier, a 5-year-old kindergartener from Louisiana, went above and beyond in following school bus safety requirements. Chad Desormeaux, Xavier’s bus driver, overheard him telling his classmates that he was the “fastest kid alive.” After leaving him off at school, he witnessed the kindergartener rushed home while other children cheered him on.

Desormeaux, who thought the situation was lovely, decided to record the boy and obtained permission from his parents. In a viral TikTok video with over 6 million views, a bus driver asks a 5-year-old, “You ready, Xavier?” He then asks for a thumbs up and unlocks the door so the child can get out.

Desormeaux is now a member of the school board and no longer drives substitute buses. He told USA Today that they made it entertaining. “The faster he runs, the quicker we can take off.” “It became a game.”

Due to the child’s age, he had to wait for Xavier to return home before leaving his drop-off spot. The 5-year-old, who frequently runs alone, said, “I’ve been practicing.”

Tiffany Saine, Xavier’s mother, shared that her son has always enjoyed racing and used to run around the home driveway as a child. She told GMA that the incident involving the children on the school bus was “an everyday thing.”

“They get on one side of the bus and shout Xavier’s name, ‘Go, Xavier, go!'” That’s all we hear, so we know they’re outside. She answered, “The bus from school is right around the corner.”

She never anticipated the video to go popular on social media and even catch the attention of Carencro’s mayor, who wants to see the 5-year-old right now.

Star Athletics, owned by Olympic medalist Dennis Mitchell and his wife, coach Damu Cherry-Mitchell, who works with players such as Sha’Carri Richardson, contacted Xavier via Desormeaux after seeing the video.

Xavier accepted a group invitation to Orlando, where they visited Disney World and other tourist sites and met Richardson. This was Xavier’s first flight and trip to Disney World.

They also went to an Orlando Magic basketball game. People who recognized the 5-year-old at Disney World in Orlando approached him and want to take pictures with him.

Tiffany told USA Today, “It was so much fun.” We went to Disneyworld. “They just showed us so much love.”

She continued, “We are blessed. I’m thrilled and grateful that he’s been recognized.”
