Michael B. Jordan Crashes his Ferrari in Hollywood

On Saturday night, actor Michael B. Jordan smashed his blue Ferrari into a parked vehicle. According to TMZ, the incident occurred in Hollywood, and authorities who attended to the accident scene found no evidence that the Creed star was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A field sobriety test was also not administered to the 36-year-old. When an officer questioned what happened, Jordan, according to a law enforcement source, did not disclose any details about how the crash occurred.

Other than the Ferrari and the vehicle he collided with, no other property was harmed. There were no injuries either.

How Africa reported in July that the award-winning actor has joined the ranks of a few Black Formula One owners. According to Deadline, the 36-year-old has invested in Formula 1 team Alpine alongside Wrexham FC owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny. It is a collective investment in the Renault-owned team, with a $220 million share in the car racing firm.

Jordan will be one of the few Black Formula One owners thanks to the investment, which will be held by Reynolds’ Maximum Effort Investments company. The other investment firms are RedBird Capital and Fenway Sports Group.

“Maximum Effort Investments focuses on unlocking value through the power of storytelling, and we believe there is tremendous untapped potential in Alpine Racing…We are eager to help shine a light on this incredible team. We’re thankful to our partners…as well as our co-investors, Michael B. Jordan and Rob McElhenney,” said Maximum Effort co-founder, James Toney.

Jordan is not making his first investment. He previously invested $1 million in TracFlo, an operations management program, with Serena Williams, and became a football club investor earlier this year, as a minority owner of Bournemouth FC in England.

“It is crazy and amazing. One reason I wanted to invest is that there was so much potential there. If you give to the community, and you have new managers and new players you can raise the culture of the team. It’s exciting,” Jordan previously told reporters.

He joins a list of celebrities who have invested in sports businesses, including Kevin Durant, who owns Thirty-Five Ventures.
