Marcus Rashford Agrees New Five-Year Contract With Man United

Marcus Rashford has reportedly agreed a new five-year deal with Manchester United.

After a torrid season at Old Trafford in which he scored 30 goals in 56 games across all competitions, the England striker is set to commit to his boyhood club long-term.

The 25-year-old’s contract was supposed to expire in 2024, but according to the Athletic, Rashford’s new agreement will keep him at the club until at least 2028.

It was previously revealed that contract talks between Manchester United and Rashford had been continuing for some time and that Rashford was set to receive new terms that would place him among the club’s greatest earners.

Rashford’s previous deal saw him make £250,000 per week, with his salary set to rise to close to £375,000 a week when he puts pen to paper.

Dwaine Maynard, the player’s agent, is representing him in negotiations with the Manchester club, and the hefty wage will make the England international the fourth-highest-earning player in the Premier League.

Only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne, as well as Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, will earn more than Rashford when his new contract is signed.

Haaland tops the Premier League wage list, earning a stunning £865,000 per week, which is mostly driven by a series of linked bonuses on top of his normal weekly wage of £375,000.

De Bruyne is the next highest earner in Pep Guardiola’s Treble-winning side with his £400,000-a-week salary.

Salah makes £400,000 a week, after being rewarded with a new and improved three-year contract by the Reds in 2022.
