Man Charged for Allegedly Posing as Police to Gain Entry to Megan Thee Stallion concert

A Houston barber is in hot water after allegedly impersonating a police officer in order to gain entry to Friday’s Final Four Fan Fest concert and see Megan Thee Stallion perform. The 28-year-old female rapper was billed as the sold-out concert’s headliner.

Trayvone Lil Darus Stevenson, the accused, has since been charged with impersonating a public servant, according to ABC13. Following his weekend detention in jail, the 28-year-old man appeared before a judge on Monday.

Stevenson is accused of donning a “Police K-9” vest and identifying himself as a cop assigned to work security at the concert. According to court documents, he posed as a police officer in order to watch Megan Thee Stallion’s performance.

Lawyers also confirmed that the accused barber is not a law enforcement official, and that despite wearing a “Police K-9” vest, he did not arrive at the venue with a dog. Stevenson was released from jail on Monday after posting a $20,000 bond. He also has no prior criminal record.

“Megan Thee Stallion is a fantastic draw, big draw, especially here in Houston, but this is still a felony case. You cannot go and impersonate an officer to get into a concert venue,” prosecutor Mathew Jackson told ABC13 on Monday.
