In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry revealed that his relationship with his father reached a low point when King Charles stopped receiving his calls.
In the same interview, he stated that the relationship had improved and that telephone contact had been restored—but it appears that things are now as bad, if not worse, than they were before.
Harry is once again unable to contact his father by phone.
Sources close to Harry have made a bombshell allegation to People magazine, citing a friend as saying, “He gets ‘unavailable right now.'” His calls remain unanswered. He has tried to contact the King concerning his health, but his calls have also gone unanswered.”
According to the magazine, Harry’s current non-speaking terms stem from his displeasure and concern of not receiving automatic police protection when in the United Kingdom. Harry believes that his father can use his power to persuade the royal security council, RAVEC, to reestablish his cover.
Buckingham Palace claims the king has such power, but one insider told The Daily Beast this week that if he wanted to, the king could insist on Harry receiving such protection.
According to one source, Harry is concerned about his family’s safety and believes that his father is the only one who can help. Another source stated that Harry is committed to protect his family at any costs.
According to the buddy, the king has responded with “complete silence” over the issue.
According to sources in Harry’s side, Charles was jealous of Harry, and Charles’ worry is a replay of the past. When his wife divorced the institution, she made headlines, eclipsed his work, and became a global sensation. “Seeing his son leave with his wife was not part of the plan.”
The People report, citing “multiple well-placed insiders,” will be viewed as a reliable depiction of Harry’s perspective given to the magazine’s relationships within the Sussex organization. The Sussexes recently chose Simon Perry, the magazine’s royal reporter, as the only journalist to accompany them on their quasi-royal tour of Nigeria.
The purported briefing to the magazine comes after allies of King Charles III informed The Daily Beast this week that Harry was limiting contact to his kids to “emotionally blackmail” the king into using his power to acquire Harry and his family automatic security while in the U.K.
However, a source close to Harry refuted that notion, telling The Daily Beast that ugly “neo-Nazi and extremist” threats to Harry were very genuine, and that one of the primary reasons the prince needed U.K. police security was for his children to “know his home country.” According to the source, Harry even volunteered “to cover the cost of security, so as not to impose on the British taxpayer.”
