The retail group paid David Rawlinson II, president and CEO of Qurate Retail Group, $4.96 million in 2022 for his services to the financial success of the American media giant.
While Rawlinson’s 2022 incentive package marks a 69.43 percent decrease from the previous year’s total reward of $16.22 million, it comes as Qurate faces more competition from retailers who are increasingly embracing live-streaming shopping and social media marketing.
His salary will be $1.25 million in 2022, with a $781,250 performance-based short-term bonus based on the company’s financial year performance and Rawlinson II’s good leadership of Qurate Retail Group.
Rawlinson also received a $2.93 million long-term incentive payment from the major retail Group in recognition of his persistent dedication.
Qurate Retail Group, the largest player in video commerce and number 265 on the 2022 Fortune 500, has grown under Rawlinson’s leadership, servicing more than 18 million clients across seven countries.
From August 1 until September 30, 2021, Rawlinson was president and CEO-elect of Qurate Retail, Inc., before becoming CEO of Qurate in October 2021. He came from NielsenIQ, where he served as CEO and led the company’s transfer to new ownership.
Since taking over as CEO, Rawlinson has brought substantial global experience in digital commerce, consumer trends, customer data, and digital business-to-business operations, as well as a background in information solutions, making him a key industry leader.
Qurate Retail Group, which reaches more than 200 million households globally through 14 television channels, streaming experiences, websites, mobile applications, social pages, print catalogs, and in-store locations, earned a stunning revenue of $12.1 billion in 2022 under Rawlinson’s leadership.
