Gina Torres, a film and television actress, was born on April 25, 1969 in Manhattan, New York, and grew up in the Bronx. Torres went to Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York, where she studied voice, opera, and jazz. Richard Torres and Rebecca Torres were her parents, both Cuban immigrants.
