A Forbes research team evaluated U.S. Census statistics to determine the state’s top 50 richest localities based on four characteristics from the 2022 American Community Survey.

Forbes ranks Country Life Acres, a small town near Town and Country, Missouri, as the richest place in the state based on many metrics.
According to Forbes, Country Life Acres has approximately 34 total households, with a median household income greater than $250,000, an average household income of $618,000, a median home value of $1.5 million, and more than $10,000 in typical property taxes paid.
According to census data, Country Life Acres has a population of 93 and a median age of 56.5 years. The village covers approximately around a tenth of a square mile.
Forbes identified the Top 50 richest places in Missouri using the same measure as Country Life Acres. Nine of the Top Ten, including the first seven, were in St. Louis County, including Huntleigh, Ladue, and Clayton, among others.
