Donald Trump Comes Close To ‘Super Tuesday’ Clean Sweep

Donald Trump won 14 primary elections in the “Super Tuesday” states, including Texas and California, but fell short of a clean sweep following Nikki Haley’s surprising defeat in Vermont.

The former president, who is attempting to make a dramatic White House comeback after being defeated by Democrat Joe Biden in 2020, received an almost decisive number of delegates on Tuesday in his campaign for the Republican Party nomination.

US networks contacted Trump in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, California, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, for which he expressed gratitude on his Truth Social website.

Former UN ambassador Haley narrowly won the northeastern state of Vermont. She has thus far refused to pull out of the campaign.

Biden won all 15 states in the Democratic primary fight, as expected, but lost to little-known competitor Jason Palmer in American Samoa, a small Pacific ocean territory.

According to RealClearPolitics polling averages, Trump leads Biden by two points in a one-on-one matchup in November.
