The US artist Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing a second lawsuit over allegations that he s**ually abused a college student in 1991.
According to TMZ, the case was filed on Thursday by a woman named Joi Dickerson-Neal under New York’s Adult Survivors Act.
The act allows alleged s**ual assault victims to launch a civil case even if the statute of limitations has passed.
Dickerson-Neal stated in the suit that she met Diddy in 1991 while a college student at Syracuse University.
She claimed Diddy brought her on a date that rapidly turned into a nightmare, accusing him of drugging and raping her in a recording studio.
Dickerson-Neal accused Diddy of showing other people a secretly filmed video of the assault.
She further stated that she dropped out of university and was diagnosed with clinical depression as a result of this.
The civil claim filed in the New York Supreme Court seeks a jury trial and damages.
“Plaintiff brings suit against Defendants to redress the substantial and lifetime injuries she has suffered as a result of being drugged, s**ually assaulted and abused, and being the victim of ‘revenge p*rn’ that Sean Combs or ‘P. Diddy’ created and distributed,” the suit filed in court reads.
However, Diddy’s spokeswoman rejected the charges, calling them “a well-intended law turned on its head.”
According to the spokesperson, Dickerson-Neal’s accusation is “made up and not credible,” and Diddy “never assaulted her.”
This is Diddy’s second legal battle in the last few days.
Cassie, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, accused him of r*pe, violence, and human trafficking during their 10-year relationship on November 17.
One day after it was filed, the lawsuit was resolved out of court.
