David de Gea has allegedly agreed to a new deal with Manchester United, albeit the Spaniard’s position as first-choice goalkeeper is not guaranteed.
Despite having kept the most clean sheets in the Premier League this season, the 32-year-old has also committed the joint-most errors that have resulted in goals.
According to The Mirror, De Gea has agreed to a new contract extension with Erik ten Hag’s side, although the shot-stopper is not guaranteed to remain as the club’s first-choice keeper.
According to the source, United are also contemplating signing Brentford’s David Raya and Portugal international Diogo Costa, two players who they believe would fit with Ten Hag’s style of play owing to their distribution.
De Gea joined Manchester United from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 and has since played 540 times for the Red Devils, winning the club’s Player of the Season title four times.
