A youngster who went missing eight months ago was discovered alive over 2,000 miles away.
Breadson John, of Vancouver, Washington, was discovered on February 17 near Jasper, Missouri, according to the FBI’s Seattle branch on Tuesday, February 21.
Breadson, also known as Brxsan, was reported missing on June 17, 2022, after Vancouver police were unable to locate him during a welfare check after family members became concerned.
Authorities believe Breadson may have traveled to Hawaii, where he was born, Arizona, or the Pacific island nation of the Federated States of Micronesia at the time of his disappearance.
According to KGW8, investigators learned that the youngster was possibly in Missouri in August and retrieved him with the assistance of local police.
As of Wednesday, Feb. 22, authorities had not revealed any additional information about who had abducted Breadson or how long he had been missing.
Breadson is being held by the Missouri Department of Social Services and will be transported back to Washington by Washington Child Protection Services, according to KGW8.
“Breadson’s recovery would not have been possible without the combined efforts of the Vancouver Police Department, FBI Kansas City, and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office,” Richard A. Collodi, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Seattle field office, told the outlet.
“We are relieved at this outcome and how quickly we were able to resolve it.”
