According to Forbes, Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour might earn her more than $2 billion. The calculations were predicated on the assumption of a large number of fans purchasing tickets and a high average ticket price of $700.
Furthermore, Forbes based the projections on the assumption that the artist will receive a big portion of the retail earnings and will pay tour expenditures equal to 20% of revenues.
The Renaissance tour is named after Beyonce’s seventh studio album, which is scheduled to be released in 2022. It began today (May 10) in Stockholm and will travel throughout North America, with performances in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, and other cities. She will perform in London (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium), Cardiff (Principality Stadium), Edinburgh (Murrayfield), and Sunderland (Stadium of Light) in the United Kingdom.
The tour is the singer’s first solo tour since 2016, and Forbes estimates that it might make up to 2.4 billion dollars by the time it concludes in September. According to US Magazine, the magazine’s high forecasts may be attributed to fans’ increased interest in attending her gigs.
According to Billboard, Beyonce’s 2014 On the Run tour, on which she performed alongside her husband, Jay-Z, grossed $95 million. According to Forbes, her 2018 On the Run II tour grossed $254 million.
According to the New York Times, demand for the tickets topped 800% in certain places where she is due to perform. Members of the BeyHive fan club, on the other hand, received early access to tickets on Monday.
Beyonce last performed in Africa in 2018 at the Global Citizen Festival in South Africa. Her African admirers would be overjoyed to see her return to the continent if her tour included a stop in Ghana. Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian musician, was recently featured on the singer’s 2019 album, The Lion King: The Gift.
