Empower Global, a corporation created by US artist Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, has been dropped by 18 companies in the wake of many s**ual assault allegations against him.
Cassie, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, accused him of r*pe, violence, and human trafficking during their 10-year relationship last month.
However, the complaint was resolved out of court one day after it was filed.
Diddy was then sued by two additional women who claimed the hip-hop superstar s**ually abused them.
Last week, a fourth woman said that when she was 17, she was “s*x trafficked” and “gang r*ped” by Combs, Harve Pierre, a former Bad Boy Records CEO, and another man.
According to Rolling Stone, 18 firms have severed relations with Diddy’s Empower Global, which was established in 2021.
Annette Njau, creator of House of Takura, a premium bag, eyewear, and apparel firm, stated that the decision was reached “on the day Casandra Ventura filed her lawsuit.”
“We take the allegations against Mr. Combs very seriously and find such behavior abhorrent and intolerable,” Njau said.
“We believe in victims’ rights, and support victims in speaking their truth, even against the most powerful of people.”
Annette Azan, the founder of Nuudii System, a line of undergarments and shapewear, said she also closed her account the day she learned of Ventura’s complaints.
No One Clothiers co-founder Lenard Grier stated that the “decision was difficult, but it was clearly the correct choice.”
“Our brand is founded on the belief that every individual is important and worthy of respect, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, etc,” Grier added.
“The allegations against Mr. Combs are in direct conflict with these beliefs. In turn, we felt a moral imperative to end our relationship.”
Tsuri cosmetics, Fulaba jewelry, Rebecca Allen footwear, and Baby Donna sunscreen are among the brands that have left Empower Global.
Last month, Diddy announced his resignation as chairman of Revolt, a TV network he co-founded.
