10-Year-Old Indiana Girl Honored For Saving Two People’s Lives

Aneres Bellefont, a 10-year-old African American girl from Indiana, has been acclaimed as a hero after saving two people’s lives. Henry County Sheriff John M. Sproles presented her with an award for her quick thinking, which saved lives.

On January 8, Aneres contacted 911 after discovering a man slumped out in a car near her home. She also noticed a woman passed out near the automobile. According to 11Alive, the individual believed they were not breathing and observed no other adults nearby.

Despite the circumstances, Aneres did not panic. She assisted emergency personnel by directing them to the two adults’ whereabouts. She remained on the telephone, updating dispatchers on the two adults’ conditions.

When medics came, they administered Narcan to both of them before taking them to Henry Community Health Hospital. One of the adults wound up in the intensive care unit.

Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s Office said on social media, “Aneres, you are a true hero!” Two adults are still alive today because you bravely handled the emergency circumstance you found yourself in. “You did everything right!”
