Visa regulations are changing as nations work toward increased cooperation and integration. Many African countries have experienced a notable change in policy, one that is more in line with the idea of an integrated and prosperous continent.
Significant progress has been made in terms of visa openness on the continent, according to the Africa Visa Openness Index 2023, which was released on Tuesday.
In 2023, the visa openness score reached an all-time high, exceeding levels previously observed before the Covid-19 pandemic. According to the report’s findings, just four countries scored worse in 2023, while 50 other countries either maintained or improved their 2022 ranking.
The degree to which African nations welcome tourists from other African nations is gauged by the Africa Visa Openness Index (AVOI).
