The potential of LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, playing in the NBA at the same time has been explored by basketball experts and fans.

Experts are already weighing in on the father-son duo’s potential usefulness to the league.

According to an industry analyst, LeBron and Bronny may potentially treble the value of an NBA team in 2024.

“Assuming it’d be a middle-of-the-road team that drafts high enough to pick Bronny and then signs dad, their franchise value could jump as much as 50%,” Pinnacle Advertising Creative Director, Bob Dorfman said, according to Forbes.

“A franchise like Orlando could double their $1.85 billion value practically overnight,” he added.

Based on the potential power of the duo being teammates, Dorfman believes that the epic matchup would disrupt the NBA.

“The marketing implications are Brontastic,” Dorfman said, the outlet reported. “The franchise value of the team that lands them will skyrocket, their games will become must-see events that command huge ticket prices and prime-time viewing slots, and they could quickly turn into a playoff powerhouse.”

“Obviously, much depends on LeBron’s longevity and Bronny’s potential, but the possibilities are mind-boggling,” he added. “And LeBron could always transition to player-coach, guiding his son to superstardom.”

Outsiders aren’t the only ones who want to see LeBron and Bronny team up, as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer has openly expressed a desire to play with his kid.

“I need to be on the floor with my boy,” LeBron told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin in January, per Forbes. “I gotta be on the floor with Bronny.”

Bronny, like his father, has been on a roll with his maneuvers.

According to prior reports, the 18-year-old signed a NIL contract with Nike in October 2022. It was a complete circle occasion, as LeBron signed his Nike contract at the same age.

“For as long as I can remember, Nike’s been a part of my family,” Bronny shared in a statement. “Getting a chance to team up with them and continue my family’s legacy both on the court and in the community is wild—it really means a lot to me.”

Shortly after the young basketball player finalized his NIL deal with Nike, Bronny also secured a deal with Beats by Dre.
