There’s a ’50 per cent’ Chance of Lionel Messi Returning ‘Home’ to Barcelona – Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero has hinted that Lionel Messi would return to Barcelona, suggesting that there is a ‘50%’ possibility his former Argentina teammate will re-sign for his previous club.

Messi’s 21-year affiliation with Barcelona will come to an end in 2021, when he will join Paris Saint-Germain on a two-year contract due to Barca’s financial issues.

The World Cup winner is scheduled to be a free agent at the end of the season, with speculation that he will not stay in Paris.

The 35-year-old has been connected with moves to the MLS and David Beckham’s Inter Miami, as well as a lucrative deal to play in Saudi Arabia with Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, his close friend Aguero has stated that he thinks Messi would find the temptation to return to the Nou Camp too hard to resist.

Speaking to TyC Sports the former Manchester City striker said: ‘I think Leo Messi should retire at Barca.

Barcelona is his home and he should finish his career there. My feeling is that there is a 50 per cent chance that he will return.’
