Michael Jackson’s Daughter Paris Responds To Fans Who Told Her To ‘Kill Herself’ Over His Birthday

Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s daughter, took to Instagram on Tuesday to respond to internet trolls who allegedly threatened her to kill herself for failing to acknowledge her late father’s birthday on social media.

According to the New York Post, the 25-year-old claimed in the video that the departed Pop icon wasn’t a fan of birthday festivities, so she was paying honor to him.

“There have been times when I don’t post anything for my dad’s birthday. And people lose their f – – king mind,” Paris said in the video. “They told me to kill myself and they’re basically measuring my love from my own father based off of what I post on Instagram.”

Paris also said that her late father disliked birthday acknowledgements, going so far as not telling his children his true birthday because “he didn’t want us to, like, throw a party or anything like that.”

Following that, the film shows Paris addressing a crowd at the Amphitheater at Las Colonias Park in Colorado. “It’s also my dad’s birthday,” she adds, to applause from the audience.

“He would have been 65 years old today. And he put 50 years of blood, sweat, tears, love and passion into doing what he did so that I could stand up here on stage in front of you and scream into a microphone. I owe everything to him,” she says.

Paris then appears in the video again and urges the deceased legendary singer’s fans to celebrate his legacy by highlighting some global issues, the New York Post reported.

“There’s always ways to get involved with raising awareness for climate change, doing so for the environment, animal rights, activism, these were things that he loved and he was very, very interested in” the 25-year-old says.

“And I can’t speak for him because you know, I’m a different person and I don’t know, but I’m sure he would have loved that and so if you want to, you know, pay homage and honor him on his birthday, that would be my suggestion.”

Michael Jackson, affectionately known as the “King of Pop”, passed away on June 25, 2009. He reportedly died from acute cardiac arrest from acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication.
