Georgia Mother Charged After Assaulting a Woman in Walmart

Authorities in Georgia have charged a mother from Gwinnett County with assaulting another lady at a Walmart shop. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the incident happened on October 26 after the victim urged Brittany George to leave the business because her children were being too loud, according to authorities.

According to the police report, George allegedly hurled a bottle at the victim’s son before punching her in the face. After employees interfered and stopped the fight, George made her way out of the business.

George was arrested the next day after police tracked her out. She is now facing felony child maltreatment and simple assault charges.

Matt Johnson, who joined Channel 2 Action News as a general assignment reporter in June 2015 before becoming Gwinnett County Bureau Chief, said consumers he spoke with stated they avoid talking about other shoppers’ children because it is a risky thing to do.

“I just avoid it because people crazy these days,” one shopper said. “It depends on how unruly (they are and) if they were hurting anybody.”

Johnson was also at George’s house, but she refused to give her side of the story.
