10 Tuition-Free Scholarships for International Students

While there are tuition-free universities, there are also universities that provide tuition-free scholarships to exceptional international students. The most popular types of overseas scholarships granted by universities are full or partial tuition fee waivers. Tuition-fee scholarships are the finest alternative to fully funded scholarships.

1. ICSP Tuition Scholarships at the University of Oregon

International students with financial need and remarkable merit may apply to the University of Oregon’s International Cultural Service Programme (ICSP). The ICSP scholarship includes a cultural service component that asks students to deliver information about their home country to children, community organizations, and UO students, faculty, and staff. The scholarships are in the form of tuition waivers ranging from $9,000 to $27,000.

 

2. University of West London’s International Ambassador Scholarships

This includes the Chancellor’s Scholarship, which requires the recipient to complete an internship with the International Development Office and other departments. The scholarship covers 50% of tuition for one academic year.

 

4. Glasgow’s International Leadership Scholarships

The University of Glasgow offers 70 International Leadership Scholarships to international (non-EU) students beginning a postgraduate taught Masters course in any discipline for Academic Session 2021-22. The scholarship is worth £10,000. It is provided as a tuition price deduction.

 

5. Sheffield Hallam University Transform Together Scholarships.

Transform Together scholarships are available to international and European Union (non-UK) students pursuing a full-time postgraduate or undergraduate taught course at Sheffield Hallam University. A 50% cost waiver is provided for postgraduate studies and each year of an undergraduate degree.

 

6. University of Sussex Chancellor’s Scholarship

The University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available in the majority of Sussex Schools and are awarded to non-EU international students who have applied for and been accepted into eligible full-time Postgraduate Taught degrees at the University of Sussex. The grant is 50% off international student tuition and is available for one year.

 

7. Griffith Remarkable Scholarship

Griffith University is offering the Griffith Remarkable Scholarship to excellent candidates seeking for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework study at Griffith University. The scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees, which will be deducted from the total tuition for the duration of the program.

 

8. Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarships for International Students.

The 2021-2025 University of Adelaide Global Academic distinction Scholarship (International) is a highly competitive scholarship for international students starting undergraduate and postgraduate study who have previously showed academic distinction. The scholarship provides a 50% reduction on tuition fees.

 

9. CDU Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for International High Achievers

Charles Darwin University (CDU) provides the Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarships to international students with a track record of academic excellence and high success who wish to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at CDU. The scholarship pays either 25% or 50% of the tuition charge.

 

10. Edinburgh Global Distance Learning Scholarships

The University of Edinburgh will award 12 scholarships to inhabitants of chosen developing countries to pursue one of the 30+ distance learning Master’s programs offered by the University. Each scholarship will cover the whole tuition for three years.
