Two pals in their 20s surprised their apartment’s security guard with a helicopter flight as a show of appreciation for his hard work. Paige Goldstein and Chantel Wright are presently traveling around the world while working remotely.
According to the New York Post, the two residents of Cape Town, South Africa, were discussing a helicopter ride with a security guy named Kasa.
Goldstein and Wright planned to surprise their apartment’s security guard, Kasa, who had never been on a helicopter or aircraft flight.
On Kasa’s day off, they took him to a helipad for an incredible helicopter trip over his hometown, giving him a unique and memorable experience.
Goldstein, originally from Boston, Massachusetts, told SWNS that she and Wright “got to know him and thought it would be a nice gesture.”
Goldstein said Kasa was pleasantly delighted by the once-in-a-lifetime helicopter ride. “He was very happy and had a big smile on his face the whole time,” she added.
The three took a helicopter flight and enjoyed the stunning sights of Cape Town. Goldstein noted that Kasa recognized the apartment building where he works throughout the flight.
“It was really special to help him see Cape Town from a different perspective,” she stated in an interview with SWNS.
The couple expressed their joy in repaying Kasa for his hard work and commitment to travelers.
Goldstein went on to say, “I think it’s very rewarding traveling to places where you can connect and build relationships with the locals.”
Following the helicopter trip, the three had congratulatory drinks together. Goldstein told SWNS that Kasa expressed his thanks and stated that he would remember the experience for the rest of his life.
“He said he wanted to tell his future grandkids about it,” she said.
Goldstein and Wright are part of a podcast called Fill Your Sol, which features three women discussing their experiences traveling while working remotely. They met in Hawaii before launching the podcast in September 2022.
