Roslyn Ellerbee: From Running Errands to Owning Multiple Businesses, Crowned 2024 Enterprising Woman of the Year

Roslyn Ellerbee, CEO and founder of Dream Team Digital Marketing, Manifesting Greatness with Roslyn V 360° Business Coaching, and Express Errands & Courier, has been selected a 2024 Enterprising Woman of the Year Award winner.

The award recognizes her exceptional achievements as the owner of three profitable businesses, as well as her commitment to helping others.

She stated, “I am incredibly honored to receive the 2024 Enterprising Woman of the Year award.” This accolade acknowledges not just my hard work and devotion, but also the incredible team and support system that surrounds me.”

Ellerbee’s entrepreneurial career began in 2012. She credits her successful enterprises to her passion for business and creativity, as she shared with Canvas Rebel.

Ellerbee, a Jacksonville native, launched Express Errands & Courier while attending a local college. At the time, she thought her community needed help with errands, especially for guests who were unfamiliar with the area. As a result, she began her business by conducting errands alone.

Ellerbee later signed a contract with a local nursing home to assist with prescription deliveries when a client contacted her. She quickly began working with nearby realtors as well.

She told the Daily News.”Since then, it has grown into what it is. What I envisioned at the outset is nowhere near where it is today.”

Her company has grown into a major player in the logistics market, with facilities in 11 states, including serving as Onslow Memorial Hospital’s designated after-hours courier. Ellerbee reported being active during the COVID-19 epidemic, moving from OMH to UNC-Chapel Hill and back.

Although she relocated her firm headquarters to Atlanta in 2019 to expand, she remains committed to serving her hometown of Jacksonville.

She told Canvas Rebel, “Aside from my businesses, I am honored to be recognized for leadership and vision, receiving honors for contributions to business and entrepreneurship. I actively engage with industry associations, such as the Customized Logistics and Delivery Association, and serve as an ambassador on the membership committee, demonstrating my commitment to supporting growth within the business community.”

The entrepreneur recently completed the Executive Leadership Capstone Program of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in collaboration with IBM, demonstrating her dedication to developing leadership skills and staying current in the industry.

Ellerbee coaches early-stage enterprises, volunteers at local shelters, and supports youth programs in addition to her professional endeavors.

As the first African American woman on the Customized Logistics and Delivery Association (CLDA) Board of Directors, the trailblazer aims to promote diversity and progressive ideas in the logistics business.

Ellerbee has been nominated for Enterprising Women Magazine’s 2024 Enterprising Woman of the Year Award, which will be presented during a celebration and conference in Orlando, Florida, in April.

She got the award in the $1 million to $2 million yearly revenue category.
