Mike Bidwell had an almost four-decade relationship with Neighborly. His adventure began in April 1984, when he joined the Neighborly family by opening a Rainbow International Carpet Cleaning & Restoration franchise in Tucson, Arizona.
His business spirit drove him to become the first multi-concept franchisee and area developer, founding Worldwide Refinishing Systems (now DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen) in 1987. Later, in 1992, he expanded his portfolio by acquiring Mr. Rooter Plumbing.
According to the corporation, Bidwell’s outstanding performance as a multi-unit franchisee garnered him distinctions such as Franchisee of the Year for Rainbow International and Top Gun for each of the franchise brands under his ownership.
Neighborly recognized Bidwell’s potential and attracted him to the international headquarters in Waco, Texas, in 1995, due to his remarkable results. He held various important positions during his tenure, including Chief Operating Officer and President of three distinct franchise brands. Mike Bidwell was appointed President and CEO of Neighborly in January 2014, establishing his legacy inside the company.
