Messi Surpasses Ronaldo As Footballer With Most Guinness World Records

Lionel Messi holds the most Guinness World Records, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The Inter Miami attacker has 41 records, one more than Portuguese great Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a statistic released by the British organization.

“For now, Messi is clear of Ronaldo 👀 Lionel Messi has 41 @GWR titles whereas Cristiano Ronaldo has 40…” Guinness World Records wrote.

Asides from Messi and Ronaldo, other players with mentioned in the chart include Robert Lewandowski with nine Guinness World Records; Kylian Mbappe has five while Brazillian star Neymar is on four.

Some of Messi’s records are: the most goals scored in a La Liga career; most assists in a La Liga career and being the first player to score in five different World Cups.
