LeAnna Roberts Achieves Third Degree, Earns Master’s at 17 in Record Time

At the age of 16, LeAnna Roberts made news when she graduated from the University of Alabama with highest honors. A year later, at 17, she celebrates another huge accomplishment: getting a master’s degree from the same university.

The teen from Tuscaloosa told WBRC, “I am surprised.” Looking back four years, when I was in high school, I never dreamed or saw this coming.”

At the age of 15, Roberts graduated from Central High School in Tuscaloosa with an Associate’s degree in science from Shelton State Community College.

She began taking dual enrollment programs at Shelton State Community College during her ninth school year and has since thrived academically. She also enrolled as a junior at the University of Alabama and graduated with a degree in biology at the age of sixteen.

On Saturday, she stepped across the stage to get another degree. “A Master’s in Business Administration with a Healthcare Management concentration,” Roberts stated. “From a young age, my parents invested much in me. I’ve always loved reading, learning, and science. “I was an extremely curious child.”

She described how she overcome obstacles such as having to buckle down, reevaluate, and adopt new study habits. She announced, “Another one for the MBA society.”

Roberts did, however, hint that she plans to resume her study in June, seeking another Master’s degree at UAB. She aims to obtain her second Master’s degree in 2025 and then pursue medical school.
