Insider Suggests Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen Could Reconcile After Split

After news of Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen’s breakup, a source told PEOPLE that the pair “will probably get back together” and that their choice to stop the relationship “came out of nowhere.”

According to the source, Marcus, 33, and Larsa, 49, split up during the Super Bowl weekend. The couple reportedly split after unfollowing one other on Instagram and deleting images of themselves.

“It happened either Friday or Saturday, but most likely on Saturday,” the insider stated. “They were merely with friends last Thursday or Friday, and no one saw any problems, so they were happy. “They’ll probably get back together.”

“This is about relationships. But it appears to have come out of nowhere, so after the emotions have settled, it may be alright,” the person said. A separate insider informed the news outlet that the former pair decided to “take some time apart to reevaluate their relationship.”

“This has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth,” a person familiar with the matter said. Larsa sent a mysterious Instagram picture on Monday, following speculations of their split.

“The man you choose as your partner influences everything in your life. Your mental health, peace of mind, love within you, happiness, how you deal with adversity, your triumphs, how your children will be reared, and much more,” she explained. “Make a wise decision,” she advised.

Larsa also posted an Instagram Story poll on Sunday titled “Should Your Friends Unfollow Your Ex?”

Marcus’ father, Michael Jordan, and Larsa’s ex-husband, Scottie Pippen, were formerly colleagues. Last year, HowAfrica reported that the NBA great did not approve of his son’s love relationship with Larsa.

According to TMZ, Jordan, 60, was queried about his son’s girlfriend as he entered a car after dinner in Paris. The footage shows a photographer asking the former Chicago Bulls player if he approved of his son’s relationship with the Real Housewives of Miami star. Jordan laughs at the question before answering “No!” when it is repeated.

After being asked the same question three times, the former professional basketball player and wealthy businessman shook his head.

Marcus’ father and Pippen were teammates with the Chicago Bulls. Pippen’s dissatisfaction with Jordan’s portrayal of him in the Netflix-ESPN documentary “The Last Dance” appears to have strained their friendship, despite their several titles for the basketball club. In his “Unguarded” memoir, he also condemned Jordan.
