Here’s Jada Pinkett Smith’s Cryptic Post on Instagram That Got People Talking

Jada Pinkett Smith frequently expresses her emotions on social media, demonstrating her open nature. On Monday, the 52-year-old actress turned her Instagram account private after sharing a cryptic remark regarding relationships.

“A man can CHOOSE to belong to someone,” The Matrix Reloaded star shared, E! News reported. “And if he does… he is considered noble. A woman is told she MUST belong to someone or … she is not worthy.”

She subsequently expatiated her thoughts in her caption. “Even in some of our great religious traditions the goddess is rendered powerless without her male counterpart. And in others, the spiritual influence of the feminine, of Mother … is not even recognized,” she wrote.

“We mere mortal women are worthy simply because we exist!” she added. “And those of us who have cultivated our Queendom within our inner kingdom and have a deep relationship with the Great Supreme … if we so CHOOSE to bond with someone from this space … we will erect monumental love and give birth to treasures.”

The 52-year-old, who shares two children with seasoned actor Will Smith, closed by advising her followers to stop from bonding “in fear” of their own “greatness.” Jada has not explained why she kept her Instagram account private.

Jada and Will have openly discussed their marriage, including ups and downs. In 2020, Jada sparked controversy when singer August Alsina revealed a love involvement with the 52-year-old, as reported by How Africa.

Jada addressed the controversy around the Benediction singer’s claims on her Facebook show, Red Table Talk, alongside her estranged husband, Will.

Jada acknowledged their connection at a sit-in with Will, but admitted it occurred after a temporary split and a “very difficult time.” That, however, was hardly the highlight of the discussion.

Jada confirmed the relationship, but opted to term it as “entanglement,” which eventually became a social media lingo.

In a 2023 interview with Hoda Kotb to promote her biography Worthy, Jada said that she and Will had been separated for seven years, as reported by How Africa.

Jada, who married Will in 1997, admitted that their marriage had grown tiring by 2016, with both of them stuck in idealized versions of each other. Her devotion to working through obstacles and never finding a reason for divorce helped her persevere. She emphasized that, despite the difficulties, she was determined to uphold her commitment.
