Flo Rida Set to Launch Energy Drink After Winning $82.6 million Lawsuit Against Celsius

Rapper Flo Rida was granted $82.6 million in January after winning a lawsuit against energy drink producer Celsius. He filed a lawsuit against the company, alleging that it broke the terms of an endorsement agreement that spanned from 2014 to 2018.

According to Business Insider, a jury in South Florida found Celsius guilty of breaching the contract, adding that the 43-year-old actor was not adequately compensated for his role in introducing the brand to “millions around the world.” Furthermore, the jury determined that Celsius had intentionally concealed facts from the rapper.

Following a successful case in which he was awarded $82 million in damages, Flo Rida, real name Tramar Dillard, is preparing to create an energy drink to compete with Celsius. The JettSet1 drink is set to hit the market in the first quarter of 2024.

“Coming from the success of Celsius, when they had no name and the marketing was very little, I took that product and I took it worldwide,” the rapper told Insider in an interview. “This is the thing that we wanna do with JettSet1.”

“I already know the field. Celsius is great, but at the same time, we want to take something and make it even greater, even healthier,” the “Low” rapper added.

According to him, the drink will be made with “healthy, responsible ingredients” and promises customers will “get the best out of their immune system.”

“Everyone knows me as a guy who works out,” Flo Rida explained to Insider. “You look at my music videos like ‘Good Feeling’ and they are a reflection of me and my healthy lifestyle. That’s what we want JettSet1 to be.”

The Atlanta Black Star reports that JettSet1 is a company with partnerships “in several industries, including biotech, health & wellness, beverages, real estate development, film, and television.”

Meanwhile, the Insider is reporting that the rapper is back in the studio working on a new track.

“Let me tell you something, I got some super amazing records coming out,” he said. “I’m one of those guys who always does nostalgia, just like the ‘Right Round’ record. I’ve got a new record coming called ‘What a Night.’ You know the Frankie Valli record? It samples that.”
