Emma Miloyo is a licensed architect from Kenya who was born on December 29, 1981. In 2017, she became the first female president of the Architectural Association of Kenya. As an Emerging Female Architect of East Africa in the nations of the Africa Great Lakes region, Miloyo was named on Archinect.com in October 2016 together with four other individuals.
Early Life and Education
29 December 1981 saw the birth of Emma Miloyo, who was reared in Nairobi. Before finishing her senior studies at Kenya High School, she attended Loreto Msongari Primary School. Miloyo earned a Bachelor of Architecture in 2006 from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
She was the first female student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology to earn a first-class architecture degree.
Career
Following her graduation from Jomo Kenyatta University in January 2007, Miloyo co-founded Design Source Limited. The company has locations in Mombasa and Nairobi. She served on the Konza Technology City Board as well.
In June 2015, she was elected vice president of the Architectural Association of Kenya, where she remained until February 2017. Miloyo was elected as the first female president of the Architectural Association of Kenya in March 2017.
Young women are encouraged to consider architecture as a career by Miloyo. She donates her time to the Ex-Bomarian Education Trust to assist in getting poor girls into school. She was also a founder member of the Wire Board (Women in Real Estate)
Personal Life
Chris Naicca, a fellow university student and fellow architect, and Emma Miloyo were married. They are fortunate to have three kids. They both started the architectural firm they co-founded in 2007 called Design Source Limited.

Business Daily Africa ranked her among Kenya’s Top 40 under-40 Women both in 2011 and 2018.
