Drake once again demonstrated his devotion to a concert-goer by donating him $50,000 to make him feel better after learning that the concert-goer was going through a split. The Canadian rapper, according to the Independent, put a smile on the bereaved fan’s face during one of his “It’s All a Blur” Tour gigs in Miami.
Drake is alleged to have been drawn to the fan by a sign he was holding. The fan revealed on the sign that he and his ex-girlfriend were planned to attend the concert together, but they ended up breaking up.
“I like that sign,” the Certified Lover Boy rapper was heard saying during his interaction with the fan. “That’s a good sign to pick tonight. Usually I’ll do something nice for a lady. I’ll do something nice, I’ll give away a bag or some s**t like that.”
“But my bro right here, he said: ‘I spent all my savings buying tickets for me and my ex, but Honestly, Nevermind, it’s really Her Loss,’” he said in reference to the sign. Drake ironically has an album named Honestly, Nevermind.
Drake also said he felt sad for the fan. “So, she ain’t come with you tonight? She ain’t come with you tonight – to the Drake show? What the f**k is wrong with her?” he asked, before hyping up the fan. “You in here just icy with the gold chain and the sunglasses on?”
The 36-year-old rapper then disclosed he was going to gift the fan $50,000 in an effort to cheer him up. “You know what? She’s gonna feel real f***ed up ’cause I’ma give you 50 bands, so you gon’ flex on her tonight,” he said. “That’s how we doing it tonight, big dog! It’s your night tonight!”
This isn’t the first time Drake has showed his appreciation to his fans at a concert. During one of his August shows in Los Angeles, the Nothing Was The Same rapper gave a fan a pricey Hermés Birkin bag, according to HowAfrica.
In September, he gave a similar $50,000 present to a fan who had spent money on furnishings on his concert tickets.
