Duane “Myko” Cheers, Danita Claytor, and Jumoke Jackson are the founders of Everything Legendary. The firm is a Black-owned vegan burger brand that is making waves in the United States.
Cheers, Claytor and Jackson were inspired to start the business in order to serve nutritious and delicious meals to their mother, who was suffering a terrible illness.
According to Black Business, the company has created a plant-based flavor burger that is free of GMOs, soy, and artificial preservatives. According to Vegan News, their vegan burgers are manufactured from a special blend of hemp protein, coconut oil, potato starch, and beet extract.
“We all know that today’s consumers are demanding that their food be nutritious and supercharged with flavor,” said Cheers. “Our brand delivers. It’s Mom-Approved. And now, it’s also Shark-Sanctioned.”
The founders appeared on Shark Tank in 2021 and received a $300,000 investment deal. The performance also provided them more publicity, which resulted in an increase in sales. The company went on to become one of the fastest-growing plant-based businesses in America, selling $250,000 worth of burgers online in only 24 hours after the show aired.
“This gives us the resources that allow us to position our brand against any competitor, where I know we will win on the flavor and quality,” Cheers told VegWorld Magazine. “For me, this investment is extremely personal. It is a validation of my ‘never give up’ philosophy. I heard ‘no’ 1,000,001 times over the years, but this one ‘yes’ moment changes everything.”
Since receiving the Shark Tank investment, the trio has not paused their pursuit of becoming one of the finest in America and the globe. They have agreed to have their products distributed in over 1,000 Publix stores in seven states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The expansion follows the $6 million Series A funding round, which included investment partners such as General Mills’ venture capital arm, 301 INC, and Mark Cuban.
