Anthony Joshua To Fight Daniel Dubois For IBF Title Vacated By Usyk

Anthony Joshua will face Daniel Dubois for the IBF world heavyweight title on September 21 at Wembley Stadium, following Oleksandr Usyk’s announcement that he would be abandoning the crown.

Dubois is the IBF’s obligatory challenger, and it was announced on Wednesday that he will face Joshua.

Usyk, 37, became the first heavyweight to hold the IBF, WBO, WBA, and WBC championships after defeating Tyson Fury on a split decision in Saudi Arabia last month.

“Anthony and Daniel, listen. I know the IBF title is important to you. It is my present to you on September 21,” Usyk said in a video posted on social media on Tuesday.

Prior to Usyk, Britain’s Lennox Lewis was the last heavyweight to unify all three major belts in 1999.

Two-time world champion Joshua, 34, has 28 wins and three losses in his career, while Dubois, 28, has won 21 of his 23 fights.
