22-Year-Old Gyamfi Becomes Youngest Medical Doctor in Ghana

Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi, a 22-year-old from Cape Coast, Ghana, is making headlines as one of the country’s youngest medical physicians. He recently graduated from the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), and his accomplishment has been recognized.

 

Gyamfi was born in 2001 to a father who works as a business and financial advisor and a mother who works as a caterer. He began his studies at Danem Royal Montessori School in Accra when he was five years old.

 

He enrolled in Prempeh College Senior High School at the age of 13 after completing his basic education in 2014. He graduated from high school at the age of sixteen. After a “rigorous” interview, he was instantly admitted to the UCC School of Medical Sciences.

 

Fast forward to September 7, 2023, when Gyamfi triumphantly walked the stage as a medical doctor for the first time at the age of 22. He has brought enormous pride to his family and friends as the second child and only son among four siblings.

 

Furthermore, his graduation images have gone viral on social media, eliciting surprise and wonder as to how someone so young could accomplish such a tremendous feat.
