10 African Countries With The Lowest Hunger Index in 2023

Africa has had to contend with a variety of issues that have exacerbated hunger over the years, including climate change, political turmoil, and economic inequality, which has left the most vulnerable without access to basic food supplies, continuing the cycle of hunger.

However, there is a silver lining. According to the 2023 Global Hunger Index, a measure for measuring and tracking hunger internationally, certain countries are demonstrating that significant progress can be made in the battle against hunger.

Although the globe has not made significant progress in decreasing hunger since 2015, a few African countries are leading by example.

Data for 136 nations were evaluated for the GHI report 2023. There was enough data from these to calculate and rank 125 countries’ GHI scores in 2023.
