US Secretary Blinken Commissions American Corner In Nigeria

On Wednesday, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken inaugurated the ‘American Corner’ in Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.

The creative and tech-enabled American space in Lagos aims to foster youth innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity in Nigeria.

The technology strengthens the Biden Administration’s US strategy for Sub-Saharan Africa, which aims to foster digital transformation and stimulate an inclusive digital environment.

Blinken, who is in Nigeria for the second day, was accompanied by the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, as well as other US government officials, to inaugurate the facility.

His visit to Nigeria is part of his ongoing tour to Africa.
