Tyrese Darnell Gibson, a Rhythm & Blues vocalist, lyricist, and actor, was born on December 30, 1978, in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, to Tyrone Richardo Gibson, Sr. and Priscilla Murray Durham Gibson, who died on February 14, 2022, from COVID-19 complications and pneumonia. Tyrone Gibson, Jr., Salendra Gibson, and Shonta Gibson were his three older siblings. Tyrese began his career in show business at the age of 14 when he appeared in a Coca-Cola commercial.
