Ava, The Rock’s daughter, has said that her inbox has been filled with hate mail regarding WWE’s new storyline featuring her father.
Dwayne Johnson appeared on SmackDown last week, and many criticized the move since it looked to undermine Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns’ feud.
Rumors have circulated that The Rock and Roman Reigns may fight within the next few months, possibly at WrestleMania in early April.
There are devout Rock fans who want to watch their champion-turned-actor wipe the floor with Reigns, but many people are pointing to recent Royal Rumble victor Cody Rhodes and wondering why his story appears to be taking a backseat to The Rock’s.
Before The Rock appeared for his staredown, Cody Rhodes discussed removing Roman Reign’s belt, which Cody acquired by winning The Royal Rumble last week. However, he appeared to stand aside when he presented The Rock to the audience, as if to signal that Dwayne is getting the opportunity instead of him.
Ava now claims she’s received death threats throughout the ordeal. Regarding the incident, she wrote:
