Logan Eggleston of Texas Volleyball has been named a recipient of the McLendon Minority Postgraduate Scholarship, the McLendon Foundation announced on Wednesday.
Eggleston is one of eight beneficiaries of the renowned postgraduate scholarships, each of whom will receive a $10,000 award for postgraduate studies in athletic administration.
Eggleston was named the NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Player after leading Texas to their third NCAA Championship title and fourth national title overall (AIAW 1981). In 2022, she earned a bachelor of arts in business administration.
Eggleston was the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for two years in a row while a student-athlete. The committee established the DNA Fund, which raised funds to purchase sporting equipment and fund sporting opportunities for underprivileged youth in the Austin area, and the LEAD Initiative, which distributes funds from Texas athletics revenue to non-profits doing positive work in Austin’s diverse communities.
Eggleston is interested in the University of Texas at Austin’s Sports Management Master’s Program because she believes it will assist prepare her for a career in collegiate sports administration.
