South Stanly Student Receives Local Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship

Xi Chapter of North Carolina Alpha Delta Kappa met May 11 at West Albemarle Baptist Church.

President, Barbara Klein welcomed members. She then introduced guest speaker Chrissy Nash. District IV vice president.

In honor of the 75th anniversary of Alpha Delta Kappa, Nash presented each member with a party hat and a bag of goodies to help celebrate this milestone together.

She also invited members to attend the International convention in Kansas City in July.

Members contributed money to the altruistic project, which was The Longest Day (Alzheimer’s) in June.

Pam Medlin introduced Reese Whitley, this year’s scholarship winner. Reese will attend UNCG in the fall and study education.

Members enjoyed lunch and birthday cake.

The next meeting will be in September.
