Although RZA’s first word appears nonchalant, it has a deep past. Rihanna said this during an interview cover story with her former stylist, Mel Ottenberg.
RZA’s first word was “Hey” rather than “Mom” or “Dad”. Rihanna used to repeatedly ask for his attention with the phrase “Hey, hey, hey.”
“And one day, he said it back to me in the same melody, and I kept singing it, and he kept following it over and over again,” she recalled.
In an interview with Teen Vogue, Rihanna discussed her relationship with her children, RZA and Riot Rose, born in May 2022 and August 2023, respectively.
Rihanna enjoys wearing her children in attractive outfits, albeit Riot’s first word is yet unknown due to his age.
The singer and entrepreneur revealed that “everybody thinks Rocky dresses them,” but she is actually the designer of the babies’ clothing. “I [just] dress them in Rocky outfits,” she went on to say.
The beauty mogul revealed her technique to keeping their family’s trendy image, saying she has a large collection of baby outfits that she diligently organizes and passes down from RZA to Riot.
“I have racks and luggage. Riot is already wearing 1-year-old clothes, which are sorted and sized for him. Any items that are too small for him are stored in bins for future use.
She stated that they are curious to see if Riot’s first word will equal his brother’s coolness.
