LeBron James has officially become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, but the clothes he wore could go down in history as well.
According to TMZ Sports, an auction expert believes the jersey the NBA superstar wore during Tuesday night’s (Feb. 7) game could fetch more than $3 million if put up for sale.
“To be able to be in the presence of such a legend and great as Kareem means so much to me; it’s very humbling,” said James of the historic game, according to Forbes. “I would never ever in a million years dreamt this even better than what it is tonight.”
As previously reported, James’ 2013 Miami Heat finals jersey sold for a record-breaking $3.7 million at an auction led by Sotheby’s.
While there is no telling when or if the sports icon will ever sell the jersey for a reasonable price, James has always been strategic in his business ventures both on and off the court.
James’ portfolio includes his production powerhouse, The SpringHill Company, several investments, real estate, and endorsements. He is the league’s first active player to become a billionaire.
Lebron is now a billionaire per Forbes:
