Rapper Bun B’s New Restaurant in Texas Sold More Than 53,000 Burgers in Its First Month – REPORT

Bun B entered the restaurant sector in 2021, releasing Trill Burgers as a pop-up concept. The fast food company set up shop at a number of events, including Coachella, Rolling Loud, Rock The Bells, and Houston City Hall.

Bun chose to open a physical presence on the former James Coney Island near Upper Kirby in Houston after a series of successful pop-ups.

“We’ve been working a long time for the opportunity to be able to serve you guys,” the UGK rapper said at the launching ceremony on June 7, Revolt reported. “Took a lot of hard work, a lot of planning. Most importantly, a lot of support from people like you in order for us to get where we are right now. It’s been a dream for us and it’s actually coming true. We are now actually ready to serve you guys food on a daily basis.”

According to Black Business, the rapper’s restaurant sold more than 53,000 burgers in its first month of business.

Trill Burgers gained popularity after winning the “United States of Burgers” competition on Good Morning America last year. Then it began to draw major celebrities like as former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, Canadian musician Drake, and rapper Ludacris.

“This was a calculated effort to create a dining experience,” Bun said of his burgers, according to Texas Monthly. “There is so much that was put into this burger, in terms of how long do we smash it? What is the right sauce mixture? How many slices of pickles? Should the onions be thin-sliced? The thick-sliced, caramelized ones are wrong. All of these different things went into creating this burger, from the texture of the patty being crispy to the softness of the bun.”

Bun runs Trill with Creative Director Andy Nguyen, Chief Marketing Officer Nick Scurfield, Chief Operating Officer Mike Pham, and Executive Chef Fernando Valladares.
