In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Pharrell professed indifference in politics and annoyance with celebrities who overtly support political politicians.

He stated that while he appreciates some celebrities for their beliefs, he believes not all of them should express their political views.

He stated that he believes such celebrity opinions are useless.

“I don’t do politics. In fact, I get annoyed sometimes when I see celebrities trying to tell you [who to vote for]. There are celebrities that I respect that have an opinion, but not all of them,” he said.

“There are celebrities that I respect that have an opinion, but not all of them. I’m one of them people [who says], ‘What the heck? Shut up. Nobody asked you’.”
