Parallaxes Capital Announces 2023 Scholarship Recipients

Parallaxes Capital, a prominent alternative asset management focusing in the monetization of Tax Receivable Agreements, is pleased to announce the five scholarship recipients for 2023. The program is intended to recognize and support outstanding students who are already enrolled or plan to enroll at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

Laurie and Gregory Beard Scholarship:
Tania Folivia of Peoria, Illinois has been awarded the Parallaxes scholarship for 2023.Tania will be studying in the College of Business at the University of Illinois. This $4,000 award is given each year to a deserving student who shows an interest in golf or tennis. Previous Laurie and Gregory Beard Scholarship recipients include Justus Omuwumi (2022), Sophia Canfield (2021), and Logan Stewart (2020).

Mariel and James Sholem Scholarship:
We congratulate the three scholarship recipients for 2023: Layla Khan of Champaign, IL, Advait Rajmane of Savoy, IL, and Amberlyn Aimone of Champaign, IL.These excellent Champaign Central High School graduates have attained academic distinction, placing in the top 25% of their class. The $4,000 scholarship will be split equally among the recipients. Previous recipients of the Mariel and James Sholem Scholarship include Lalit Gurrapu and Eunice Yoon (2022), Kyleah Rogers (2021), and Liara Aber (2020).

Swati and Mukul Chawla Scholarship:

We are thrilled to announce that Ashwin Bale, a PhD student at Illinois, has been selected as the 2023 scholarship recipient. The $4,000 scholarship is given to an Illinois student who attended or graduated from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, or who is of Asian or Indian descent. Manan Mehta (2022), Saheli Sheth and Ishaan Sehgal (2021), and Raghavendra Pothukuchi (2020) have previously received the Swati and Mukul Chawla Scholarship.

Since 2020, Parallaxes Capital has provided a total of $20,000 in scholarships to exceptional students attending Illinois.
