Get to know Nasara James Dabo, a 13-year-old Nigerian girl who has captivated the world with her astounding feat. She won a gold medal in the junior division at the International Mathematical Olympiad after solving 34 arithmetic questions in 172 seconds.
Nasara, a student at Ideal College International in Kaduna, outperformed 150 opponents from around the world, earning a total score of 145. Along with the gold medal, Nasara was crowned Olympiad champion in the prestigious competition, which draws competitors from over 100 countries.
Nasara took the Mensa IQ test shortly after her IMO victory and aced it under tight supervision. Her IQ of 150 places her in the top 1% of Mensa applicants worldwide.
Furthermore, Nasara recently received a LIMCA Award for memorizing 673 binary numbers in less than 9 minutes at the Mind Sports Olympiad Memory Championship.
Nasara, who aspires to be a doctor, has been awarded a scholarship by the Kaduna State government to pay her secondary and university tuition expenditures after bringing tremendous glory to her village.
