The Grammys have confirmed that Nigerian megastar Burna Boy will perform at the 2024 live award presentation, marking another momentous moment for Africa.
Burna Boy will make history as the first African singer to perform at the Grammys live recording awards presentation, according to an announcement made on January 22, 2024.
In 2021, the Nigerian superstar won a Grammy for Best Global Album for his fifth album ‘Twice As Tall’, making him the first Nigerian musician in the music industry to do so.
Burna Boy has been nominated for four Grammys in 2024, setting a Nigerian record for the most nominations in a single year. His nominations include Best Melodic Rap Performance for his tune ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’, which features 21 Savage, making him the first Nigerian lead artist to be nominated outside of the global categories.
Burna Boy will perform at the 2024 Grammy Awards for the second time, having previously performed at the 2021 Grammys Premiere presentation.
